From 5th grade journalism club member to Channel 7 Primetime evening writer, Alex has used her love of writing and storytelling to deliver award-winning news to her audience
As a writer for the Night Team, Alex writes and visually composes packages for dayside and evening anchors. She also works with reporters to communicate their show hit orders and times. Alex also writes breaking news hits for reporters and anchors. At 7, Alex has been able to work with photographers and reporters on her reel, filming her own packages from previous shows.
Concord Monitor
Alex was a staff writer with Concord Monitor from June to September of 2022. As a part of the team, she wrote articles for both the 'Concord Monitor Newspaper' and the magazine, 'Around Concord'. Alex wrote front-page stories for the newspaper and wrote the cover story for the Fall 2022 issue of the magazine.
The Voice - Georgetown University
During her time at Georgetown University, Alex wrote for the sports section of 'The Voice' student magazine. Alex also wrote a blog in college called 'Lil Thill's Blog' consisting of news in print, podcast, and video form.
Red and White - St. George's School
As a high school student, Alex focused her extracurricular activities on current events by contributing to the 'Red and White' student-run newspaper. As a writer, Alex attended events and interviewed students, faculty, and campus speakers.
